Section 13
Punishment

(1) In accordance with sub-section (2) of section 8, the person who does not respond to the requested information or questionnaire will be fined up to two hundred rupees.
(2) If it is proven that someone has reported a false personal incident with the intention of causing pain to others or for personal gain, the person giving such false information shall be fined up to one hundred rupees or imprisoned for one month or both and if such incident has already been registered, the registration will be cancelled. > (3) If someone knowingly destroys a personal incident information form or registration book or family register in his charge or uses it for personal gain or unauthorized work, he can be punished with imprisonment up to three months or a fine of three hundred rupees to six hundred rupees or both.
(4) If anyone is found to have prevented or harassed or provoked a person coming to register a personal incident, he shall be fined up to two hundred rupees.
